O N L I N E P R E S S K I T
The World Conquest project is an anti-war, pro-human-rights protest against Iran's president, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. Iran is the world's biggest state sponsor of terrorism, closely allied with Hamas,
Hezbollah, and the Baathist regime of Syria. Ahmadinejad has threatened countless times to wipe a neighboring country off the map. He is a clear and present danger to world peace, and is estimated to acquire nuclear weapons within one year.
So, to raise awareness of the urgency of the problem, and to be a call to action, Stephen Barnwell printed the above image on lawn signs and is planting them all over the tri-state area. He started planting signs on September 11, 2010. Barnwell photographs them, and then walks away, leaving the signs in place to last as long as they can until they are confiscated or stolen. The photos are real, they are not manipulated in any way beyond simple color correction. He will continue to plant one sign per day until Election Day on November 2, and beyond. |
